Remember the old days, once you found out your pastor wasn't going to preach you would simply go to another church. Oh those old days. Today, now church comes to you. When your pastor is out of town, guess what, you don't have to sit lisening to Elder Long Winded tell you everything he has studied since the last time he got up.
Neither do you have to go drive 55 more minutes to get to the other church where you don't really want to hear him or you would be attending there already. And finally, you don't have to miss church altogether. Now you can turn on the internet and see top preachers from all over the country.
I mean you can see Barry Black and not have to wait till that one time a year he comes to your church. You can see James Doggette, hey you can even sit down and look at the praise singing like you remembered when you was attending Oakwood years ago.
You ain't got Breath of Life, well hey Carlton Byrd is on the internet as well. Man if those guys don't float your boat, you can head on over to AudioVerse and hear top preachers from a more traditionalist Adventist perspective. What if you are from a more liberal perspective? head on over to Spectrum which posts Adventist sermon videos.
Hey if you are so inclined you can even listen to people of other denominational perspectives.
Church hopping may not have been a great thing....but guess what, the internet has made it absolutely unavoidable....
Oh yes, church hopping has moved into the 21st century...Just don't let it replace your regular church attendance. how come? well how are you gonna pay your tithe?
oh yeah I forgot about the Adventist Giving extension to most church websites....
Carry on....
